Nineveh Madsen is a Swedish-born, ethnic Assyrian American. The former TV personality spent a decade working as a journalist for local television stations in Arizona (KYMA, NBC) and Utah (KSTU, FOX). Her passion for writing led her to a successful career in television news. Her accolades include an Edward R. Murrow, Associated Press Awards, recognition from the Utah Broadcasters Association and Assyrian Community for her excellence in journalism. She was also voted one of the State’s top reporters by Salt Lake’s City Weekly Magazine for more than five years, and was key in launching a competing daytime television news show in the market that became #1 in ratings in less than 12 months of launch.
From TV to marketer and businesswoman, Nineveh loves to bring ideas to life. In 2014, she launched HER Magazine™ , a digital publication focused on women in business which featured prominent women on the cover including Tomi Lahren, Elena Cardone and Mel Robbins.
After the magazine’s sunset, Nineveh joined forces with her father at his cyber security company, OpenVPN. She began as the company’s social media manager in 2015 contributing content and blogs. Years later she became the VP of Marketing & Customer Success, building several areas of the business from the ground up. Nineveh was part of extending the growth of teams spanning multiple departments to 45+ people. During her tenure, she played an instrumental role in growing company revenue by 4X, and increasing demand generation by 150% – Nineveh now serves as the company’s strategic growth advisor.
